Jean's Obituary
Jean Alberta Mail, 87, of South Haven, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018. She was born November 8, 1930 to Eugene and Catherine (Grieve) Larson in Oak Park, Illinois. Jean married Robert Mail on June 7, 1952 and shared 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2013. Jean worked as a secretary at National Biscuit Company in Chicago, at Bohn Aluminum, and at Dr. Jim Davis’s office in South Haven. She loved to take pictures, the beach, doing things for her neighbors and especially spending time with her family. Jean was a member of the Shekinah Revival Ministries in Holland.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert Mail.
Jean is survived by her children – Cathy (Philip) Carter of Elgin, Illinois and Debra Schultz of Woodland, Michigan, five grandchildren – Rachel (Ryan) Hoffman, Stephen (Jenn) Carter, John (Ashley) Carter, Robert Schultz, and Robin Schultz, and ten great grandchildren – Mikaela Hoffman, Caleb Hoffman Joel Hoffman, Wesley Carter, Madilyn Hoffman, Seeley Carter, Ivyjane Carter, Finnian Carter, Wren Carter and Raquel Crump.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Clif White officiating. Jean will be laid to rest at Chambers Cemetery in Geneva Township.
