Josh William Spencer

Josh William Spencer, 57, of Kentwood, formerly of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born November 7, 1960 to Robert and Violet (Baker) Spencer in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Josh worked as a customer service representative for Change Health for the past five years. He was an excellent photographer and especially skilled in photographing cars. He graduated from Davenport College where he was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi. He enjoyed collecting jackknives and was a fan of Battle Star Galactica and Star Trek. He was a member of the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids.

Josh is preceded in death by his father - Robert Spencer Sr. and sister – Rachel Spencer.

Josh is survived by his mother – Violet Spencer of South Haven, siblings – Robert Spencer, Jr. of Cape Canaveral, Florida and June (Tony) Tranker of Troy, Illinois, nephews – Derek and Collin Tranker, and many cousins.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Memorial services will follow visitation at 3:00 PM with Pastors Travis Wilson and Dave Blank officiating.
