Frances's Obituary
Frances Drucilla Cagle, 90, of South Haven, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at the South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born July 8, 1928 to Joseph and Ethel (Smith) Rayburn in Hackleburg, Alabama. Frances married Earl Cagle on March 30, 1945. They were married 51 years before his passing in 1996. Frances loved her family, her pets, and gardening. Frances was an avid reader and a great cook who loved to feed everyone.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son – Joe Cagle, six brothers – Lonnie, George, Ed, JE, LV, RT Rayburn. Great granddaughter – Madeliene Scruggs, and son-in-law – Dan Kelley.
Frances is survived by her children – Gail Peterson, Barbara Kelley, Robert (Donna) Cagle, Darcy (Joe) Quinnan, Jim (Sandi) Cagle, and Debbie (Gary) Waite, daughter-in-law - Carla Cagle. Twelve grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Koller officiating. Frances will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Earl at Monks Cemetery in Geneva Township.
