Lovella "Sussie" Sherrell

Lovella “Sussie” Sherrell, 83, of South Haven, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at her home. She was born March 22, 1935 to Joseph and Nellie (Kilgore) Williams in Coleman, Alabama. Sussie worked as a migrant worker for many years. She was also a devoted mother who loved to sew and cook. Her biscuits and gravy were simply the best.

She is preceded in death by her husband – Louis Sherrell who passed in 2008 and children – Georginna and Edward Eugene Sherrell.

Sussie is survived by her children – Michael Sherrell of Attala, Alabama, Billy Sherrell of Holland, Edna (Randy) Green of Holland, Julie Steinburg of South Haven, Wanda Sherrell of Covert, Betty Johnson of South Haven, Glenda Sherrell of Templeton, Pennsylvania, and Joanne (Gene) Sorenson of South Haven, siblings – George Williams of South Haven and Marvin Williams of Pullman, twenty grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Sussie will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
