John's Obituary
John Gordon Forrest, 55, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born September 24, 1963 to Norvel and Ruth (Heide) Forrest in South Haven. John worked as a tree climber and did forestry work for over 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister – Judy Vigansky, and former spouse – Helen Mercado.
John is survived by his children – Tiffaney Forrest and Brian (Jessica) Forrest both of South Haven, Jordan (Wendy) Austin, Skye Austin and Kristen Austin. Grandchildren – Nevaeh Chapman, Tanner Forrest, Kaisyn Forrest, Adaline Root, James Austin, Loa-lea, Christopher, Hannah, Liliana, Arloa, and another due in April. Siblings – Dorothy Forrest of Lacota, Sue (Dave) Bange of Pullman, Toni Lloyd of South Haven and Norman (Vicky) Forrest of Covert.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 29, from 2:00 to 3:00 at Life Bridge Church in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 3:00PM at the church with Pastor Eric Jarvis officiating. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family.
