Mick Kasper

Michael “Mick” Robert Kasper, Jr., 58, of Plainwell and formerly of South Haven, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born December 5, 1960 to Michael and Barbara (Annerino) Kasper, Sr., in Chicago.  Mick married Geralyn Zawacki on June 16, 1990.  They shared 28 years of marriage.  He worked as a chemical operator at Albemarle for 26 years, retiring in 2016 for medical reasons.  He loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle but most of all he loved spending time with his wife, grandchildren, family and friends.  Although he struggled for years with health issues, he lived life to the fullest with a smile, laugh, or a song.  He will forever be remembered for his hugs and “I love you” for everyone he knew.

He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Kasper Sr..
 

Michael is survived by his wife, Geralyn Kasper, mother - Barbara (Eugene) Hopper, of Statesboro, Georgia, children – Keith (Jennifer) Kasper of Plainwell, and Tiffany Kasper (Chuck) Peck, of Scotts.  Grandchildren – Zander Kasper, Vivian Kasper, Brianna Young, Alaina Conant, Nathan Peck and Hailey Peck.  Siblings – Robert (Elizabeth) Kasper of Statesboro, Georgia, Christopher (Anh) Hopper of Houston, Texas, and Charles (Christin) Hopper of Statesboro, Georgia.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, from 1:00 to 2 :00 PM at LifeBridge Church, 10420 M-140, South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 PM at the church with Pastor Milan Bittenbender officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
