Corey Lee Mashburn

Corey Lee Mashburn, 31, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born June 14, 1987 to Bill and Sarah (Elzinga) Mashburn in South Haven. Corey loved working on cars and installing stereos. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed tree trimming. Corey worked at Swans Lawn Care for the past six months. Corey was a wonderful father. He loved his children and loved spending all of his time with them. His smile would light up the room. He was a member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents – Garry and Roseanna Elzinga and Elwood Stainbrook.

He is survived along with his parents by children – Arrmond Mashburn, William Mashburn, Eva Mashburn, Trent Koenig, Corey Mashburn, Jr., and another daughter on the way, companion – Courtney Koenig, brother – Jason (Tiffany) Mashburn of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and grandmother – Pat Mashburn. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece, and three nephews also survive.
 

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Corey will be laid to rest at Chambers Cemetery in Geneva Township at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2019.
