Ella Bell Hall

Ms. Ella Bell Hall affectionately known as MOMBEE began her eternal life on Monday May 20th 2019. Ella was born September 19, 1933 in Netherland, Missouri to Felune and Doris Holmes. Ella was the oldest of 13 children and had to quit school at 6th grade to help in the field and with her siblings.  Because of this, Ella was a strong advocate for education and encouraged her children, grandchildren, and even children that she cared for in her community to obtain their education. When Ella was younger she dreamed of becoming a professional singer. She enjoyed dancing and listening to music. Ella’s biggest joy was tending to her garden where she would share her harvest with others in the community.  Ella worked multiple jobs, but the one she enjoyed the most was working for Covert Public school as a food service worker for 20 plus years. She also volunteered several years after her retirement.

 Later Ella met and married the man of her dreams Will Lee Hall. Through this union together they raised 11 children, Floyd Holmes, Willie B Hall, Rosetta Hall, Ezell Hall, Desi Hall, Doris Hall, Julie Hall, Donald Hall, Melvin Hall, Carl Hall, Lisa Hall

 Ella is preceded in death by her husband Willie Lee Hall; 3 sons, Melvin and Desi Hall and Floyd Holmes and daughter Lisa Hall.

 To cherish her memories, she leaves 7 children, 30 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and a host of love ones and special friends.

Wake will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Gospel Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Covert. Memorial services will follow the wake at 3:00 PM at the church.
