Dorothy's Obituary
Dorothy Jean King, 81, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born November 26, 1937 to Jack and Ruthie (Bedwell) Bolden in Shirley, Arkansas. Dorothy married the love of her life Havis King on September 18, 1954 in South Haven, Michigan. She worked at the Hamlin Overton Company and Michigan Fruit Canners before dedicating herself full time to caring for her family.
She is preceded in death by her brother - J.C. Bolden, and sister – Bobbie Bolden.
Dorothy is survived by her husband – Havis King of South Haven; children – Stanley (Elba) King of Holland, Carolyn Barnes of South Haven, and Marilyn McEnaney of South Haven; sisters – Barbara Ransom and Mary Watkins both of South Haven; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Casco United Methodist Church. Memorial services will follow the visitation at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jodi Cartwright and Rev. David Meister officiating at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the King Family,
