Walter "Wally"'s Obituary
Walter “Wally” Edward Jogerst, 74, of South Haven, passed away October 16, 2019 at his home. He was born April 16, 1945 to Walter E. and Dorothy (Buchele) Jogerst in Chicago, Illinois. Wally married Barbara (Sitarz) on November 23, 1966 in Blue Island, Illinois. They shared 52 years of marriage before his passing. Wally worked at Rexam Company for 35 ½ years as an electrician before his retirement in 2006. Walter served his country in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters - Jackie and Dorothy.
Wally is survived by his wife, Barbara, children- Rebecca (Christopher)Rehor , Zeeland, Michigan and Michael (Liliana) Jogerst, Holland, Michigan. Two grandchildren, Adam Rehor and Amy Rehor also survive.
Visitation will take place on Friday, October 25, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow beginning at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Walter will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery.
