Iona's Obituary

 

Iona M. Krogel 92 of South Haven died Saturday, November 30, at the Caretel Inn in St. Joseph, Michigan.  Iona was born July 23, 1927 in Pullman, Michigan to Ralph and Dora (Nelson) Dailey.  She married Bud Krogel on Dec. 31, 1949 in South Haven.  Iona took care of and raised her family and also was an evangelist. She enjoyed going to yard sales and purchasing dolls to give away to young children.  She also was an organist.  She enjoyed visiting nursing homes to sing and pray for the residents.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Krogel, brothers – Daniel, Glen, William, Donald, John, Burl, Ralph Jr., Forest and Robert Dailey, sisters - Leona Dailey, Madge and Susan Bellenger, and great granddaughter, Bronagh Barber

Surviving is her son – Dennis Reinbold of Greenville, Michigan.  Daughters – Chari Williams of South Haven and Dorene VanStrien of Powder Springs, Georgia.  Eleven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Sisters – Rosella Holbrook of Pullman, Michigan, Barbara McDonald of Clearwater, Florida and Carolyn Alshire of Fennville, Michigan.

 Visitation will be on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 12:30 P.M.  – 2:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Jeffrey S. Dick officiating. Iona will be laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores.
