Ronald "Ron" Gene Stevens

Ronald “Ron” Gene Stevens, 76, of Fennville, Michigan passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus in Grand Rapids. He was born December 19, 1942 to Harold and Freda (Flora) Stevens in Douglas, Michigan. Ron graduated with the class of 1961 from Fennville High School. Ron married Alice Miene on May 26, 1962 at the Casco United Bretheren Church in Casco Township and they shared 57 years of marriage before his passing. He owned and maintained Stevens Farm in Fennville. Ron was an avid car enthusiast, his latest project being the rebuilding of a 1969 Mustang. He was a member of Pullman Bible Church in Pullman.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Ron is survived by his wife, Alice Stevens, children – Sheila (Alan) Fortunato of Grand Prairie, Texas, Steven (Karen) Stevens of Holland, Lisa (Randy) Letts of Pullman, and Ronda (John) Howard of Fennville, siblings – James Stevens and Sally Stevens of Fennville and Ted (Theresa) Stevens of Pullman, grandchildren – Nathan Betts, Connor and Elaini Stevens, Hannah Howard, Olivia and Morgan Reynolds, David Futch, and Alan Letts and great grandchildren – Nathan and Caleb Betts.

A visitation will be held Monday, December 9, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Jeffrey Stephens officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Pullman Bible Church at 5508 109th Avenue, Pullman, MI 49450. Ron will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township, Michigan.
