Fredoria's Obituary
Fredoria Louise Polk, 67, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020 peacefully in her home. She was born November 12, 1952 to Reverend Eugene and Margaret (Gonzales) Polk in Chicago, Illinois. Fredoria worked as a Dietary Aid at Chicago Hospital for 10 years before her retirement in 1999. She was a member of Greater Harvest Baptist Church in Chicago. Fredoria enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, and working on puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings – Henry, James, and Shirley Smith Gonzales, Delores, Pamela, Sherman, and Sylvia Polk and Carolyn Polk Kaiser.
Fredoria is survived by her daughter, Lanatia “Lonnie” Polk of Watervliet, sister, Elizabeth Polk of Nashville, Tennessee, grandchildren – Eugenia Polk, Treshana Davis, and Rachel Blunt and great grandchildren – Quantrell, Ja’quon, and Kaniyah Polk, Cherysh and Destiny Lynch, Ahmari, Aaden, and Autumn Hoskins, and Antowane and Ayona London.
Private Family Services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. Services will be streamed for the public via the funeral home’s website.
