Virginia's Obituary
Virginia Lee Wines, 80 years young of South Haven, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 peacefully in her home. She was born February 9, 1940 to Robert Lee and Virginia Ruth (Fletcher) Black in Crossville, Illinois.
Virginia married Allen Wilbur Wines on October 7, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan and shared 32 years of marriage before his passing in 1994.
She worked for Michigan Bell in Detroit, Subway in South Haven, and retired from South Haven Public School’s Food Service after 28 Years.
Virginia was a member of Anchor Baptist Church. She had a strong faith which she enjoyed sharing with others. She was a spunky, loving, selfless, compassionate person who loved with all her heart. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, bird watching, people watching, and playing games.
She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband Allen, and daughter Kimberly Kay Wines.
Virginia is survived by her children, Carl (Nancy) Wines of Hillsborough, North Carolina, Lisa Lee Wines of Holland, Andy (Kimberly) Wines of Fennville; Sister, Wilma Key of Vienna, Illinois and Brother, Maurice Black of Troy, Michigan; Grandchildren, Amber, Stephanie, Cody, Maegan of South Haven, and Courtney, Randy, Clint, and Hannah of North Carolina; Two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later time.
