Mary's Obituary
Mary Louise Holtzman (Heinze) passed away peacefully on¬ December 18, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Cypress, Texas. She was born on August 28, 1926. She married Donald Holtzman on May 27, 1960. Together they started Holtzman Blueberry Farm and made it a successful and highly respected blueberry farm in South Haven, Michigan.
Mary was preceded in death by husband, Don; son Mark; grandson Eric; her parents, Gustav and Emily Heinze; brothers – Otto, George, Edward, Herbert, Henry; sisters – Dorothy, Anna and Violet.
A very special thank you to Kim Standifer, who for the past 2 years took care of Mary like she was her own mother. Also, thank you to Stephanie Walker and Lois Wesaw who cared for Mary before she moved to Texas. These 3 are truly angels on earth.
God saw that she was getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arm around her and
He whispered “Come home with Me”.
With tearful eyes we watcher her
And saw her pass away;
Although we loved her dearly
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard-working hands at rest;
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
