Dear Josey and Fred
I’m so sorry for your loss. Mr Allen was a very joyful gentleman. He will be missed so much. But now there is no more pain and he will be so happy once again. Thoughts and prayers for your family at this time.

I met Fred as a result of his injury. A friendship developed. He directed his life to his love of baseball and kids. Everyone knows how that turned out. Well old catcher it’s time for you to get back together with you’re number one pitcher. We will not forget you!

What a good man. Generous to all who needed help. There are so few men in the world like him. I am glad I had the pleasure of meeting him. Rest in peace as the Angel's watch over you.

Fred defined what it meant to be a loyal friend! He was an excellent high school baseball and football player--an outstanding competitor. I was fortunate to be able to play both sports with him. He and JoAnn were sooooooo kind to me my sophomore year. They always took me with them after Fred and I played in a Lakeshore football game to the Tiptop Café in St. Joe. to eat. Fred and I use to stop at Gast's Store in Derby after morning football practice and try to refuel ourselves before we each headed to our farms to work all day and practice football again at 5 pm. Fred had a significant impact on my life in many ways. He was a great one! Soooo many great memories! David Bartz, Charleston Illinois

Our hearts are heavy. Fred was family and dearly loved. He was a man with utmost integrity. He was Eaton Park!! An ICON!! Our memories are etched in stone of this wonderful man ALWAYS helping others. He made a difference in the lives of many young ball players. Fred had a heart of gold and gave constantly to others. He was a Father to my nephews and dedicated partner to my sister Maureen. Even though you took your last breath LOVE does not end in death it’s forever.

Freddy, Brett told us of Fred's passing. I can't tell you how sad it makes us. Guy and I have so many good memories of Fred at Eaton Park. We had so many laughs with with him. He was such a great guy and spent so many hours volunteering his time and helping people. They don't make them like that anymore. We will miss him. May God bless his family. Beth and Guy Arrans
