Lonna's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Lonna here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
I will miss my "longest time friend"! Lonna and I met when we were 6yrs old (both "sand rabbits") and had remained friends even though our life path changes kept us from seeing each other often. She was my daughters' God mother and my children all called her "aunt Lonna". We remained in contact by phone and personal visits. She loved her sons dearly & I know she was so very, very happy with the life she shared with Les.

Les, we humbly offer our deepest condolences to you and your loved ones during your time of bereavement. No words can truly express how grateful we are for you and Lonna's steady example of love and hope; and how inspirational and aspirational your love has been to us. No matter the circumstance, there was always a smile and warmth between the two of you that was truly reflective of a blessed union. Thank you for always being warm, neighborly, and authentically wonderful.
Our caring thoughts are with you,

Dear Les, we were so sad to read of Lonna’s passing. We can clearly remember when you first introduced her to “the family” and how excited we were when we experienced her joy and laughter and deep love for you. Our visits in Florida hold a special place in our hearts, as Lonna was always kind and warm and compassionate. We send love and warm memories of many years with you. With great sympathy, Jim and Linda Folk

I am truly sorry to hear of Lonna's passing. I worked with Lonna for many years at DHS, retiring at the same time she did. Lonna always had a smile and such an amazing spirit and I have a lot of fond memories from those years. Lonna will live in the hearts and cherished memories of all whose lives she touched and there are many. RIP dear lady, fly with the angels.

I am so sorry to hear about Lonna. I met Lonna when we both worked for the Department of Social Services in Benton Harbor. She was a very sweet person and I will always remember her. When I transferred to Cass County in 1989 she gave me a pin which I still have. May she rest in peace.

Les:
So sorry to hear of Lonna's death.
I'm glad I was able to "reconnect" with her last May when
I stopped in for that brief visit... and, so glad to have had
the chance to meet you.
May you be comforted with the knowledge that Lonna now
fully enjoys the life with her Lord that began at her baptism

Dear Les,
Our most sincere condolences to you & the entire family
at this very sad time. In the time Jim & I have known you &
Lonna, we became such good friends. Lonna & I became
real pals, I felt. We would talk on the phone & have alot of
laughs & fun together! I will really miss those times, but our
Lord, in His wisdom & mercy, knew it was time to take this
beautiful lady home. Rest in peace, dear friend, we will miss
You, so much.

In honor of Lonna, Donna lit a candle.
Today, December 6th I lost my best friend. We didn’t
spend a lot of time together, but when we did, we
had good times. We spent time together in FL.
we went on a cruise together, shopping,
some wonderful talks. Les and Lonna opened
their home to us while we were waiting to
take possession of our home. What wonderful
people. Lonna, I love you and will miss you always.”
