Norma's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Norma here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
I remembered the first time that I meant Norma. I was going to Ferris College but my mom was diagnosed with Cancer so I enrolled in LMC to stay closer to my mom. I signed up for a work-study program while I attended LMC. Norma was my boss and I remembered thinking I got the best boss ever - we became quite close. She was so much fun to hang out with and easy to talk to her. When, my dad passed away unexpected - she walked into the funeral home and instantly I felt better when she gave me a hug and told me that everything was going to be okay and she had to come and see me. We started to go to monthly lunches and we would laugh for hours. Jerry and Norma helped my teenager boys with a very important high school project last year and put so much detail in telling them the history of St Joseph, Whirlpool, and Silver Beach. I will miss my friend.

The fabulous LMC College Auction Flower Committee loved working with Norma. She knew how to be a perfectionist. Her kindness, laughter and great conversations will be greatly missed. We will cherish the memories and we hope her family will as well.

Like many others, I met Norma at Lake Michigan College. While she was counting down her last few days before retirement she was training me to fill her big shoes. Every morning Norma would greet me and everyone else with a big smile and a "Mornin!" That contagious smile, her kind heart, and wonderful laugh will be missed by so many.
My condolences to her family for the loss of such a wonderful woman.

Norma was such a sweetheart and loved by so many. I met Norma while working at Lake Michigan College and continued our friendship after retirement. I looked forward to spending time with Norma. She exuded happiness and always had a good story to share. Friendships run deep when you hold a spot on your calendar every couple months for the Dinner Dames. We worked side-by-side on Ellie's Flower Committee and she and Jerry bowled in the LMC bowling league. So many places where Norma will be greatly missed and things just won't be the same without her. My deepest sympathy to Jerry and the family.

We are very saddened to learn of Norma's death. June worked in the same department with Norma for 16 years and was a member of the "Lunch Bunch" and "Dinner Dames" until we moved away. Norma was also a neighbor and she and Jerry would walk by with their dogs, that they loved. We are so glad that we had the opportunity to talk with her two weeks ago when we were back in St Joe for dinner with the Whirlpool retirees. Our condolences to Jerry and the family.

Jean was a fabulous aunt that went the distance to support and love her family even from afar. She encouraged me, believed in my potential and made a major impact on my life. Rest in peace and say hi to Larry!
