In remembrance of Billy
Our hearts were saddened when we heard of Billy's passing. Our prayers and out heart are with you as you morn his loss and celebrate the life of a truly kind person. Of the many people that I have worked with over the years some of my best memories are of Billy, his big smile and even bigger heart. Even though the miles separated us he was thought of frequently. He was both a friend of my Dad and a mentor and friend to me. We thank God for giving us the privilege of knowing him and being able to call him a friend. Cricket Billys passing is the worlds loss a true gentleman. Our loss is truly heavens gain. He is now with God and at peace. He will be remembered by all that were touched by him.

In honor of Billy, Linda & Richard Nelson lit a candle.
My heart and prayers are with all of the family. Billy has always been a gentle soul for everyone that knew him. He set an example for what someone who is guided and loved by God to be like. I always looked up to him and he instilled the desire to make him proud. He accepted and loved everyone as they were and showed that he truly cared. In my life I have lost many, but the two that I feel the most lost were Billy and my Uncle Bud Whelan. Heaven now has the best of the best. Cricket, you are in my heart and prayers daily, may you know that he waits for you. God bless you with his love.

Billy always treated me with kindness and his example of how a Christian man should live will forever be an example I reflect upon. When I first met him riding in the CMA, he had that smile that made everyone feel special. He was one of a kind.

Our family used Billy's services as a mechanic for many years. He was by far the best mechanic we ever had! As someone else mentioned: There was nothing that Billy couldn't fix. And I so miss our talks about our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We would sometimes both end up in tears sharing our experiences. I have often thought of Billy and how much I miss those talks in his garage. Prayers for the family. See you in Heaven, Billy........

Prayers for Billy's family. My Dad, Marv Hanners, is in the hospital, so we will not be able to attend the service for Billy, but you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Cricket and Family, losing Billy is such a loss to all who knew him. How many hours he and I stood in his shop and talked about the Lord and what a great day it will be when we all meet in Heaven. Billy always had a smile on his face and a firm handshake. There was not a car or truck that Billy couldn't fix. Until we meet again old friend rest in peace.

When I was a child Bill Wells was my hero. That has never changed. I am certain that the Good Lord brought Bill home to use all of Bill's great qualities in his Kingdom. He will be there watching over his wonderful family until they are all together again. My condolences to all that Loved Bill.

I'm posting this for my brother Jack Hays. I'm sorry to hear of Bill's passing and so blessed to have known him. Bill was one of the nicest, caring and giving poeple that I have ever known.. in the 60's he took this young kid that couldn't keep a beat and taught how to not only keep a beat but to put it all together on the drums. I will never forget the smile on Bill's face when I finally got it. To this day every time a song is played on the radio my hands start and I think of Bill Wells. My heart goes out to Cricket and her family. Bill is now playing to a packed house where his beat and golden smile will continue forever

It is with a very heavy heart that I take note of Billy's passing. I have known Billy from the Masonic Lodge for 49 years and for years before that when I first encountered the "Jokers". He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I always called him "hillbilly" to his face and he would respond with a smile or grin large enough to swallow a car. Be at rest Billy. Go with God until we meet again.
