I remember him from being a student in the 5th and 6th grade at Fairplain West Elementary school. He was a great principal and I have nothing but good memories from when he was principal at the time. I am sad to hear of his passing and I hope the Lord will help his family and friends get through this most difficult time.

Sending heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the Catania family and friends, especially my middle school friend and Ralph's sister, Janice Catania, I spoke with Ralph a few summers ago as I was going into Lakeland hospital to see my dad. As we caught up on events in our lives, his smile and jovial nature were apparent and what I will always remember from that day. Ralph lived in a house on the end of the street I grew up on. And I remember walking down to Ralph's house to hang out with Janice. Every time I think of that day, I also think of the singer,Bobby Golsboro, and his music. Janice and Ralph had his album playing when I visited them. It is so hard to lose close family members or friends. My dad just passed away this week on September 17 and when I saw that Ralph passed away too, I could not believe it. I had heard another of my classmates had just passed away and was looking for her obituary and funeral information and found Ralph's instead. I was so sorry to read that he had passed. Janice, you and your family are in my prayers.

Ralph was a cool guy. He was a volunteer in the café at the hospital that I work at. Whenever we would come in for lunch on Tuesdays when he worked he would laugh and joke with all of us. I want to thank him for his cheerful nature and sense of humor. It helped make my day. He will be missed a lot.

My deepest sympathy to all of you on Ralph's passing. I will always remember Ralph and feel very fortunate to have known him. He hired me at FPNE as a teacher and was my principal, as well as a friend. Your sorrow is shared by everyone who knew him. He truly will be missed.

Cousin, you will be greatly missed by many. May you rest in peace and know that I will keep Patrick entertained as much as possible. I won't forget our conversations about planting. I have to laugh. Heaven gained a kind and generous angel.
