I’m so sorry for your loss. This is one of life’s greatest challenges that we have to face.
Jesus said ,did and promised something that gives us comfort and hope.
In the Bible at John 11:11-14 Jesus liken death to sleep.
This comfort us in two ways: 1) we are assured by those words that our loved ones are not
suffering or in pain. 2) If a person is just sleeping he will wake up!
Notice what Jesus does next at John 11:43-44, this is amazing!
Jesus promised us something similar at John 5:28,29 what a beautiful hope we have!

In honor of Janice, Lindsay Gaspari lit a candle.
Jan led her life as a shining example of grace, kindness, positivity, and generosity. She looked for goodness in everyone, and where she noticed loneliness or hurting, she held out her hand or offered a hug. Jan spread joy and love wherever she went. Her smile, her laughter, and her warmth will be missed, but her friendship and her strength have left an indelible mark upon those of us who were blessed to have known her. She and Keith were a matched set in their marriage and outreach. May we all learn from their example to love so wholly and selflessly.

I have two profound memories of Jan. The first is of her announcements in church regarding the 2018 Lenten global giving initiative - which was focused on support for women’s educational and economic development around the world. Jan’s passion about the work was contagious - and she had an amazing ability to connect folks in the US with the needs of women throughout the globe. The second is of Jan’s reading scripture during the Easter Vigil - and her spirit of hope amidst her struggle with disease. Her amazing spirit and concern for others will be missed.

I have two very powerful memories of Jan. The first was her announcements in church about the 2018 Lenten giving initiative to support global women’s initiatives. I was inspired by Jan’s passion and her personal way of connecting folks in the US to needs around the world. The 2nd was Jan’s reading of scripture during the Easter Vigil and how I was awed by her hopeful spirit undaunted by her battling with disease. In those two moments she profoundly touched my life.
