Bill and I first met when we were 4 years old and our mothers set up our first "play date". Bill was born on Christmas Eve and I was born on Christmas Day. We had many "adventures" all the way from playmates, kindergarten, elementary school and high school. Military enlistments and college years separated us physically in miles but not in continued friendship. We continued our friendship through our individual courtships and resulting marriages and beyond. Not many people can boast of having a good friend for 84 years. I am thankful I was able to come to Michigan to have a chance for a final farewell with my old friend. I will always relish our friendship and will miss him dearly.
