In honor of Michael, Melissa Robison lit a candle.
Mike LaVanway was such a special person to me when I were growing up! As one of Nikki’s best friends I had the priveledge of spending time with the family. Mike always knew how to make me laugh. I will always remember our trips to sporting events, like the ND girls basketball games and all the SJ boys games when Nikki and I were in middle school. Being the jokester he was, he answered the phone by saying “Pizza Hut” when we were in 6th grade and it stuck ever since. A fond memory is him showing up at my wedding in 2011 with a Pizza Hut box (over 10 years later) that he was using to fan himself :) Literally, walking down the aisle with my parents I made a joke about it! I’m really going to miss him! My thoughts and prayers are with you, Clara, Nikki, and Mikey! I love you guys.
