I remember the first time I met your mother. She made me feel so welcome and comfortable right away when I took over the Bud Prince and Princess pageant for the Blossomtime Festival in 2000. She was a lady that gave her all to anything that I had seen her do, and I am glad I got to be a witness to her goodness.

What a wonderful way to honor Gretchen's spirit on the opening day of baseball season. We know Gretchen will be in heavens VIP box watching her beloved Cubs play ball. We will miss your smile and giving ways...rest in peace to a great friend and beautiful lady.

My heart was saddened to hear the news of the passing of my classmate and friend Gretchen Gilmore. I had many enjoyable times visiting with Gretchen after we graduated from High School and was hopeful that many more were to follow. Unfortunately time and space did not permit this to happen. On behalf of my twin-sister Carol and my entire family, we send our condolences to Sally and Bill and all relatives of Gretchen. She was a wonderful lady in a million different ways. She blessed many in and around the community of St. Joseph and she will be greatly missed. The Class of "56", and all those lives you have touched over your 79 years here in this wonderful world, will never forget you. Rest in Peace Gretchen! We will Love you always and forever!
