Your father was so kind and always smiling. I met Don through my Dad, Jerry Ellis - from the "airplane' group on Thresher Avenue in Benton Harbor. Then as he accompanied Ms. Beverly throughout her life I had the pleasure of seeing him frequently as Ms. Beverly and my Mom, Anita Ellis were often together. God Bless your family at this time.

Oh, how we will miss the wit and twinkle Don brought to this world. He was our fathers' dear friend for 67 years, and they sang Barbershop Harmonies with joy and gusto throughout. Our time in Texas with the Metronomes quartet Don, Al, John, and Dad (Wyman Schmidt) was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Four octogenarians singing all over Austin Texas and bringing the house down. Unforgettable. Our sincere condolences to the family. Roxi Morris and the entire Schmidt family

Don was such a terrific person, so much fun with a great sense of humor. He could always bring laughter and joy when sharing time together. He and Beverly had such a close and wonderful relationshipf for many years and he took such good care of her during her medical issues. It is comforting to know that they are together again for all eternity. We send our heartfelt condolences for Don’s passing and thankful we were able to have him as a part of our family.

Don and Anne, Your father was one of the kindest, smartest, and most caring men I have ever had the privilege of knowing. It is hard to believe that both mom and Don are gone now but it gives me great comfort to know that they are both together again for eternity. Jeff and I will be forever grateful to your father for the love and care he showered on our mother for so many years. God bless you both.

I met Don through my Father, Larry Allen, also a Barbershopper. Don was so quick with kind words and a smile that made his whole face light up: a wonderful man.
