A fantastic dentist for a child! Unfortunately, I was often his patient. But he was wonderful as was his staff.

I knew Bill was a great guy, having grown up in Fairplain with Tom, but after reading this, I get a picture of a genuine American hero, not to mention a top-line athlete. We are quickly losing our Greatest Generation, and the country gets weaker with each one we lose...

In honor of William, Kathy Blanchard lit a candle.
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of "Doc." He was my dentist until he retired and he was also a classmate and friend to my father, Don Sink. Thoughts and prayers to his family. Rest in Peace, Doc!

I first met Bill at Caretel (Fullerton House) where Bill and my husband, Hank, enjoyed many meals together at the same dining table. Bill was a sweet, kind, friendly, intelligent guy with a wonderful sense of humor. To his family......I am sorry for your loss. You were blessed having such a special father and grandfather.

I never knew Bill when we were in the service ,as I entered the Army from Mt.Pleasant ,Mi.
We ended up with very similar experiences ,we were in the same Bacic Training Regiment at Ft,Benning Georgia in late 1943,
We both qualified for the Army Specialized Training (college program) after three months the program was closed and we were sent to the 96th Infantry Division as replacements .
The division was sent overseas in July 1944 and took part in the Leyte and Okinawa campaigns .
Our assignments were pretty rough and Bill was reluctant to talk about them although they were very similar.
We both were able to carry on after our discharge in 1946,and live productive lives
Enjoyed his friendship at the St.Joseph -Lincoln Senior Center.
