My condolences to the friends and family of Fred. He was a regular customer at Harding's in Berrien Springs, where I work. He was a sweet guy, always nice, polite and pleasant to talk with. He is going to be greatly missed...

Fred was a sweet, sweet person. I used to wait on him at the bank on Napier and then I would see him at Martin's in St. Joe - as late last this past summer. He always said hello and remembered me as well. Prayers for Fred and for your family. I will remember him fondly.

Dear all of Freds family,I met Fred and his Mom and Dad having breakfast at Stooges. We became good friends and were always glad to see each other. Later on I missed seeing Fred around town in St. Joe. I saw him a few months ago at the bakery in St. Joe. I know we were both glad to see each other. I send my deepest sympathies and will keep you all in prayer. Gods Blessings,A friend always,Debby Radke.

My prayers go out his family. Fted was a very nice individual and always purchased something at my old church Zion Church in St Joe bake sale. It was always nice chatting with him. May God provide you with much comfort during these times.

We knew Fred from working at Meijer with us. he was such a hard worker and extremely nice guy. I never heard him say a bad thing about anyone. We will miss his kind and smiling face. May he be safe in Heaven. So sorry for your loss.

My heart breaks to hear of Fred's going home, but know his pain is gone. I am the garden manager at Timber Ridge Manor, and last year he wanted a garden stating he never had one. I worked with him and enjoyed his company so much and singing the song "In The Garden" together. He will be greatly missed by everyone at Timber Ridge Manor, he was a friend to all. Praying that God comforts all of us as we miss him. God Bless your family. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Fred is among the finest men we have ever known. It is an honor to have been counted among his many friends. He found great joy in volunteering at the Free Store at Berrien Springs United Methodist Church every Thursday. The library, stores, senior center, McDonalds, and even the very streets of Berrien Springs will miss Fred and his perpetual walking stick making their way from place to place, always with a pleasant smile and friendly word for everyone. And his heart is so big and generous! His Soul is now with His Savior while his memory lives on in our hearts! Till we meet again, dearest Fred!

Freddie Mead was such a sweet, gentle, kind soul. Freddie was always smiling and always had a kind word and a hug for me. He was what we all should be, a genuinely good person ??
