My sweet Madelyne! You taught me so very much as a secretary in CCU. I could barely keep up with you and that was without the chairs! I remember those open heart orders, so much writing and so much to learn. Madelyne would always say to me " It's a done deal honey." I will miss your beautiful smile and your ability to teach someone brand new! Rest in peace!

Dear family of Madelyn, I am so sorry for your loss. I knew her as I myself was a unit secretary. She was a very nice person and I am sure she will be sorely missed. May the Lord and your memories of her comfort you at this time.. Always remember that she really isn't gone as long as you remember her. Chris Nails

As a friend and patient for many years, she was one of the best. Always joyful, friendly and tried to do her best to take care of herself and family. She loved life and her husband, kids and friends. She will be missed.

Dear Bob and the Richards Family,
We were so sorry to hear the news of Madelyne's passing. I must admit, I will always visualize her in her early to mid thirties taking tickets at the Emprees dances ( the Unicorn, and Blossom Lanes), and knowing most of the young people by their first names. She was always fair - and a little strict (in her usual motherly way) when dealing with me and my bandmates. We always thought that we were so cool, but Madelyne could always see right through our teenage macho behavior, and put us in our place.
Madelyne was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a good friend to many. We will all miss her. God speed, my old friend, the Lords arms are waiting for you.

Dear Bob, and the Richards family,

I must admit, I'll always visualize her in her early to mid thirties, taking tickets at the Emprees dances (The Unicorn & Blossom Lanes), and knowing most of the young people by their first names. She was always genuine, and even a little strict (in her usual motherly way) when dealing with me and my fellow bandmates. We always thought we were cool, but she always saw right through our teenage macho behavior, and could easily put us in our place.
She was a devoted to her family, a good friend to many, and devouted to her Catholic faith. We all loved seeing Madelyne & Bob at out reunion gigs, where she always had overly flattering - but nice things to say. I'll will miss you, Madelyne.
The Lords arms are waiting for you.

Dear, Bob & Family, So very sorry to hear of the loss of your dear, dear "Soul-Mate!" What a treasure she was! No matter what kind of a day you were having, you felt so much better after visiting with her. She brought joy to people's hearts. I was very touched by her presence in my life. Our Lord asks us to "make a difference" - Madelyne truly made a difference in all the lives she touched. God gave you & all of us a "Gift!" HE has now called His "Gift" to us - back home - Heaven is indeed a better place since Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Love, Peace & prayers to your "Loved One" and all of you,
Father Bill Jacobs, Former Pastor

It seems impossible that a woman with such a big personality could be gone from us. Madelyne was larger than life and I've known her for nearly 40 years. She will be sorely missed on Earth, but Heaven is rejoicing to have her. My prayers and best wishes to her loving family.

Queen Mother.... you are one of a kind. You taught me how to be
a unit secretary in ICU. You would “roll around “ in your
chair to get from one end of the desk to the other. After showing me
how it was done you would say “ got that now honey”
your stories where amazing. You kept the Doctors in check
I am honored I got to be in your court. You are one beautiful lady and
I will hold you in my heart always

I feel so blessed to have worked many years with Madelyne. I will fondly remembered her best by her quick wit when asked a question"What is the problem, did you just start working here?" Then she would answer your question, and then finish with " You got that now honey!"
Sending loving prayers to all the family. Janice Awad

My friend called me last night and told me that my mother sent a message. Me: ? She asked if I saw the meteor last night. It was so bright and big and even caused a 2.0 earthquake. Me: What does that have to do with my mother's passing? She said my mother probably threw a rock into the earths atmophere to let my dad know she is watching him and he better take care of Jolene and Starlet. Me: But it landed North of Detroit. She then commented: Well maybe your mom's GPS wasn't working. This would definitely be a comical story my mother would share. Even better, this could actually be true! Love you Mom!!!

Tony first met Madeline in 1964. She was always a very special person to him. He remembers her taking tickets at the gate and dancing to the beat of the music. She and Bob were the sixth and seventh Empree. Tony always knew just how naughty he could be in front of her. She had an outrageous sense of humor and the biggest heart ever. We love you Madeline.

My mom enjoyed celebrating her birthday the entire month of July. She always said it was truly Christmas in July for her. Now, with the help of all those that knew her..we can celebrate her life and the memories she gave us. I am blessed that my mother has given me so many memories (and memories she gave others) to help give me strength during this difficult time.
