Mark William Wier

Mark William Wier, 51, is now reunited with his father and father-in-law following an unexpected heart complication. He passed away Sunday April 21, 2002 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan. Mass of Christion burial services will be held at 11:00 AM Wedensday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph. The burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends are welcome to join the family from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A prayer service will follow at 8:00 PM Tueday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wier Family. Mark grew up on a farm in Eau Claire with his parents Pauline and the late Leo Wier. He graduated from St. John’s Catholic High School and went on to further his education at Michigan State University. Mark then pursued a successful career in the printing industry. He had a great passion for his career not only because of his love for the job but also because of the strong relationships he built. Mark married his partner and best friend, Diane (Demchinski) Wier in December 1974. Mark and Diane began their journey and family in Eau Claire, Michigan and then moved to Stevensville. They have three loving children Kellie, Brett and Laura. Mark was a thoughtful son, devoted husband, dedicated father and loyal friend. He is survived by his wife Diane Wier (Demchinski), his beautiful children Kellie, Brett, and Laura, his mother Pauline Wier, his mother-in-law Wava Demchinski, Brother and his wife Lao and Sheila Wier, sister Kathy Wier, sister and brother in law Maryanne and Bruce Grant, Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Wayne and Michele Demchinski and his loving nieces and nephews Michael, Keith and Kara, Chris and Brian, Kim and Melissa and Leigh. Thank you for all the love and joy you have brought into our lives. We love and miss you.
