Lewis's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Lewis here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
I remember visiting the Filstrups with my parents, Bert and Clarice Aanes, in the '50's. Coming from Florida, I thought St. Joe so beautiful in comparison! My memories are of kindness and lots of fun. Not having had contact with the family for all these years, for some reason Christine's name recently came to me, and when I looked it up on the web, up came the notice of Lew's passing. He certainly lived a long and productive life! Christine, whenever appropriate, I would love to hear from you.

I had not spoken to Lewis since May of 1997.I still have the last letter he sent me after our last conversation. It seems like just yesterday we were talking on the phone. It seems as though the days get shorter with each year that passes! Lewis was a good man and a good friend. I am glad that I was able to get to know and work with him over the years. He will surely be missed by many.
Lewis and the entire Filstrup family made contributions to industry that changed our nation. Coval mfg I am sure will be remembered through out all time.
I know that this is late in coming..But
not forgotten. I would like to hear from any of his family that survived him.
I write for a few publications. Perhaps we could do a reprint of the history book he wrote back in 1989..

Christine--We never get a heavier burden than we can handle. You have a vast number of family and
friends to help give you support in this time of need. My thoughts are with you and your family.
