Dear Mrs.Runkel, I was saddened to hear of the death of Rev.Runkel. I have such nice memories of
you both,( and Rachel and Ruth). You were all such a big part of my growing up, I feel very blessed
having known you all. I will be thanking God tonight for all of you. Love, Mary Kay

To Beth - Beloved wife of Curtis Runkel - I wish to extend to you my love during this time of grieving
for your husband Curt. He was the essence of integrity albeit mixed with a wonderful sense of humor.
In addition, like his friend Dick Selmer, he was the quintessence of decency. I shall miss him. Much
love. The Reverend Dr. David John Kleis, Pastor, Eau Claire Community Congregational Church.

To Mrs. Runkel and family...We only met you a short time ago (we bought your camper from you
last year). Rev. Runkel truely was a wonderful man. He came into our lives, in just those few
days..and made such a difference. Dave, still grieving from the loss of his father, will never forget
Rev. Runkel's council. When no one else understood, he did. I am sure he has touched the lives of
countless others..and now touches the hand of our Savior. God sends to us, special people, and he
was certainly one of them. Mrs Runkel, if you are ever passing by our house, please stop for a few
minutes..to talk or for just a hug.
