Lorraine A Ott

Lorraine Ann Ott, 92, of Stevensville, MI passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Vicinia Gardens Nursing Home in Otsego, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with pastor Brett Ehlke officiating. Inurnment will take place at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville at a later date. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She graduated from Stevensville High School in 1944. On August 10, 1946 she married William “Bill” Ott in Stevensville, MI. Lorraine was a Bookkeeper at Tosi’s for 8 years and also for her husband during his many business entrepreneurship ventures. Lorraine was a member of the Tri-Unit Fire Department Auxiliary for 31 years, Stevensville American Legion Auxiliary for 10 years. She also volunteered at the Light House Attic for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the accordion in the Spitzer Brothers Band and hosting and going to rummage sales. Lorraine was a wonderfully skilled seamstress, sewing and crocheting many beautiful pieces. Lorraine is survived by her children, William (Judith) Ott, Jon (Sharon) Ott, and Linda Ott - Tam; daughter-in-law Christine Ott; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Lynn Ott, son-in-law Edwin Tam, granddaughter Karrie Ott, great-granddaughter Emma Martindale and a brother at birth.
