Uncle Dale, I will miss visiting with you each summer when I am in Michigan.
You had a long life and I'll never forget you and your stubborn ways. Say hello to my mom and dad and grandma and grandpa Christy and all that have gone before you. Have a beer with Ronnie and an argument with my mom i love you. Your niece, Nan

Dear Uncle Dale was a man who loved to debate and always had a well thought out opinion.
He was loyal to his friends and family even when it was inconvenient.
He loved his sister Viva [My Mother] and her whole family.
She was faithfully assisted by Dale for many years.
We regret his death, love and miss him.

Dale was my oldest brother. I will miss him very much but I know he along with the rest of my family who are gone from this earthly home will be waiting for me when my time comes at the Rainbow Bridge to guide me to God and we will all be one of his flock for eternity in his peaceful garden. There will be no pain, suffering, hunger, anger, only love and peace. We will all be sitting on His right hand as his children as it was intended to be. No more strife and sorrow. Dale was a wonderful and loving brother and son and father. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him here on earth and will be welcomed warmly and lovingly by all who have gone before him. He had a long good life and enjoyed it to the fullest. I have many good memories of him and some stories I could tell that would make everyone laugh and chuckle. He served his country proudly as a soldier. He was an excellent cook and boy could he make your mouth water with the good smells coming from his kitchen. He kept his home neat and tidy and was proud of his lawn and flowers and always had a garden growing with lots of good veggies. Like I said I will miss my big brother. He was the eldest and I was the baby of the family. I love you Dale. You would be proud of Mike for handling everything just the way you wanted things to be done when you left us. He has done an excellent job for you because he loves you so dearly. He is a wonderful, kind and loving son to you. Tell everyone I said hello and we will all be together again one day.
Your Baby Sister, Darlene
