Alan's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Alan here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Please accept my very deepest condolences regarding the loss of Alan. It is humbly apparent that he was loved, very much. During tragic times like this, how can God’s Word the Bible comfort us? At 1 Cor. 15:26, we are helped to appreciate how God feels . . . about death: “The last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.” This helps us to see that death is not a part of life, because why would God refer to it as our ‘enemy?’ As a result, the God who cannot lie (Titus 1:2), promises that our loved ones will live again—a resurrection back to life—on a paradise earth. (Acts 24:15). I sincerely hope these scriptures help to comfort your family as they have mine, and if you'd like to read the Bible online, or learn more about God's promises for our loved ones who've fallen asleep in death, please feel free to visit JW. org. Again, my very deepest condolences to those who love and cherish Alan.

Al was our neighbor and he would occasionally stop by and chat.... lately he'd buzz in on his four wheeler. We just visited a few weeks ago... Our condolences to his family, he will be missed.

I'm part of a group of people that graduated high school with Al's wife, Sue. Although she passed away 6 years ago Al always wanted to get together with us and our spouses at local restaurants for breakfast or dinner every couple of weeks and to celebrate birthdays. He never let a couple of weeks go by without saying "Hey, it's time to get together again."
A day wouldn't go by without him sending a message saying "Hi". He was a wonderful friend and he will be greatly missed.

Alan and I grew up together with adjoining back yards in Fair Plain. We managed to get into all sorts of trouble together. We would sneak off to the river and swim, have apple fights, dig holes in a field and call them forts, and had bb gun wars/fights. When we weren’t getting into something, we played a lot of baseball and football. In the summer both families had boats and we would picnic together on Lake Michigan. His dad, Lyman, often played baseball with us. His sis and brother, Jim (James) and Cindy, were always there too. His mom, Betty, was my second mom.
Alan will be missed. He was a kind sole to everyone. RIP Alan.
