Erna's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Erna here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Remembering the stately Ethan and charming Erna Brandt when we attended Napier Parkview Baptist Church years ago as a family! They were always so warm and cordial and Erna’s smile and eyes radiated the lovely spirit within! An authentic and grand couple in the Lord! Good memories of her children and entire family! Erna is where she has lived and planned for her future dwelling place! We all can praise the Lord for this. I pray your days ahead will leave you the sweet smelling fragrance of her love for the entire family!

Dear Margrit, Herb, Irma, Harry and Rich, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that God will comfort you as you remember the memories you have. She was a very loving lady and brought up such great children!! Always remember that she really isn't gone as long as you remember her!!! Christina Nails

To me nothing beat sleepovers at my Grandma and Grandpa's house with my cousins. Whether it was playing card games (which she always "accidentally" let us win), exploring down in the ravine in their back yard, taking the red Radio Flyer wagon down the road to collect rocks and grasshoppers, falling asleep to The Sound of Music, or having my personal favorite Tosi Rye bread and honey for breakfast, some of my fondest memories growing up took place at their house. I know our family finds great comfort in knowing how many lives she has touched in different ways as evidenced by how many people have visited her at home over the last week, but more importantly in knowing that she is now with her Heavenly Father which is where she's been patiently awaiting to go ever since Grandpa passed away several years ago.

Please accept my most sincere sympathy for the death of your loved one. We can find comfort in the word of God because it assures us that "there is going to be a resurrection" (Acts 24:15). God promises to give life back to millions of people who have died, and he desires to do so very soon.
We know this from what a servant of God from the past, Job, asked God: “If a man dies, can he live again? I will wait all the days of my compulsory service (death) until my relief comes. You (Jehovah) will call, and I (Job) will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands." (Job 14:14, 15) God is longing to give life back to those who have died.
Perhaps these words do not calm your pain but we are certain that God will resurrect all those who demonstrate faith in the sacrifice of His son, Jesus Christ. Reflecting on the divine promises found in the Bible will give you the hope and strength to keep going until all of God’s promises are fulfilled. May these words bring you and your family much comfort from Jehovah God, the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1: 3, 4).
