Dear Krieger Family, It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my friend "Freddy". He was so many things to me, my baseball coach, my friend's father, a supporter of our high school football team, and later a business associate and mentor. But most of all Dave was someone who I always enjoyed spending time with. He took me to my first Notre Dame football game, Penn State 1982. Many Saturdays were spent in the Krieger basement watching Norte Dame vs whomever and eating whatever wonderful concoction Norma whipped up at halftime. Later in life I always would make an excuse to stop by Michiana Supply to hear him say "How ya doing Stever?" and share a quick story and usually a laugh. Laughs were on the menu when i started going to Windy Acres with the Krieger family shortly after college. There was no better evening than sitting around the bar at Windy and listening to the stories and Dave's sparkle in his eye when the boot had to be refilled. The testament to Dave's character is the fine family he raised. Crocket, Kathy and Steve have always been some of most grounded and beautiful people I've had the pleasure to call friends. Norma, Kathy and Steve - I love you and I hate the sorrow that resides because of Dave's passing, but please know that I and many others are better people for having known him. Good bye dear friend and save me a seat at the bar and some wings.

I had many dealings with Dave during my career at Whirlpool. He was a very talented and knowledgeable businessman. After my retirement, he was always there to give advice on any situation I had. His main qualities was that he was a good friend. He will surely be missed. RIP my good friend. Peace be with you & your family.....

What a loving man I have always known of David to be! One of the sweetest couples, David and Norma. I know he was a devoted and loving family man and will be dearly missed. My heart goes out to all of the family.

I did not know David well personally; but I did know him through business for 35 years. i purchased some very high quality items for my construction business, and though I retired, that same equipment is still in use today. He was honest and forthright in his dealings and just a week ago his team did a small repair job for me. He was one of the first people to show up at my brothers funeral almost 40 years ago and I brought the memory book in to the office last year to show him that he still meant a lot to me and others. Rest in peace David, you will be remembered fondly just as your son is. John H. Conlin - Heritage Construction and Remodeling.

It is surreal to be writing about Papa here...an amazing man that I referred to as my 2nd Dad!
I remember Papa always waiting up for you all to get home. And to this day, I never knew if Papa saw me slide my dad’s car under his mailbox that night I took Kathy home!
I am certain God took Papa by the hand and guided him straight to Krock❤️. God has Papa in the palm of His hands.
