My Uncle Brian was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. In all my 27 years, I never once saw him be anything but kind, not only to me, but to everyone he came into contact with. I have many memories of him laying on the floor playing with me when I was very little. And doing bubbles outside with me. Whenever I opened my Easter baskets or Christmas stockings, he was always interested in what I got. I sure hope I shared the candies with him! Because he would always share anything he had with me. When I was little, he had a dog named Reba, and he could make her sing. I always liked that. He also had a really nice dog named Buddy, and I remember Buddy always being with Uncle Brian. (So were the rest of his doggies. Smart dogs, too.
They knew Uncle Brian would always share the love with them by sharing treats! And by giving belly rubs) Uncle Brian was also pretty cool because he liked to get fireworks for 4th of July, and he would do them at Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Dave's. I would say Uncle Brian was a lover of good food. He loved to share many different foods and treats with everyone he was around, which of course was also very nice. Spending the night with my Aunt Shelly and cousin Matt growing up, Uncle Brian would bring home Dunkin Donuts and all kinds of other treats for us. Talk about a fun Uncle! Uncle Brian had a great smile. I remember him always saying funny little things, and he had a funny little chuckle/laugh he would do afterwards. I know he was a very hard worker and put a lot into his business. I believe he was a very good dad to his son Matt. I saw them do many things together, and their relationship really seems like it is the ideal father/son relationship. That special father-son bond-that is what Uncle Brian and Matthew have. On top of being a very nice uncle, a phenomenal dad, I also saw my Uncle Brian be a very very loving husband to my Auntie Shelly. I feel like maybe that is not all mine to share, but I will say that growing up, there were just many moments I was able to witness him being such a nice husband to her. Uncle Brian was an all around good, nice guy. A very good example basically of what a man should be-that is Uncle Brian. I'm sure anyone who had the privilege to know him understands what I am saying and would agree. Uncle Brian would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Maybe they wouldn't even really need it, he would give it anyway. I have so much more I could share, all good, nice, kind things. It would be impossible to fit it all on here, though. I am a lucky person in that I was able to know my Uncle Brian. I do wish I could tell him some of these things myself, and how thankful I am for being able to know him and have him be a part of my life. I love you Uncle Brian. And Aunt Shelly and Matthew. Uncle Brian, you were a wonderful uncle to me, and I am thankful for all the things, big and small, you did for me throughout my life. Heaven knows there were many. You are going to be very, very missed.
