I only met Duane a few times, but know what a special man he was by the way he made your face light up and made your heart whole Julia. I am so sorry for your loss, and know that you and Isaac will treasure the many memories you made in the short time that you had together.

I met Duane of all places in Fulda, Germany through mutual friends. The group went to the Kreutzburgh monastery for sight seeing and beer drinking. Duane and I hit it off right away and we hiked up the to the top of the mountain to a shrine while the rest of the group stayed behind. That was a special memory for me making it to the shrine and meeting a new friend. May Duane's family find peace in this difficult time.

I once sent Duane on a wild goose chase, unintentionally. I asked him to go to Premiere Promotions and at the time they were across from Admiral gas station on Red Arrow. I told him it was the place with the purple frog on the sign. He drives up and down Red Arrow looking for a sign with a purple frog on it. Well, it was a green frog and the location was a little off. I later bought him a metal purple frog at a craft show and told him he finally found the purple frog.
