Susan Harry

Susan Kathryn Harry, 69, of South Haven, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born March 31, 1943 to Malcolm and Zella (Franz) Tait in South Haven. Susan worked as a bookkeeper at Henry J. Compton Inc. for 17 years. Sue also worked at various other businesses in the community such as Jack’s Super value, Confidential Services, and Walmart. Susan loved quilting and sewing. She was an active member of the Casco United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Tait.
Sue is survived by her husband – Walter Harry of South Haven, MI, two sons – Jason (Kristi) Harry of Jackson, WI, and Dan (Melissa) Harry of Glenn, MI. One daughter – Jennifer (Timm) Schabbel of South Bend, IN. Five grandchildren – Drew Newell, Devon Harry, Jessica Schabbel, Lauren Harry and Emma Harry. Two sisters – Martha (Alvin) Robinson of Sebastian, FL, and Louise (Paul) Tywman of Lakeland, FL.One brother – Bruce (Mary) Tait of Eugene, OR.
Visitation will be Friday, September 7, from 4-7 pm at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 8, at 11:00 am at Casco United Methodist Church with Rev. David Meister and Rev. George Fleming officiating. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery, Casco Township.
