William "Bill"'s Obituary
William A.“ Bill” Crow, 90, of South Haven died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Wings Home in Allegan.
He was born August 11, 1921 in South Haven, Michigan the son of George and Helen (Ingraham) Crow. Bill was a graduate of South Haven High School. He was also a 4 year Veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Navy. Bill was a life member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Serving in the North Pacific, South Pacific, North Atlantic and South Atlantic. Bill was also a life member of the Elks Club and a past member of the River Bend Boat Club. After Bill returned from War in 1945, he worked at McKimmies Clothing Store, Calvin’s Funeral Home and was a twenty year Veteran of the South Haven Police Force. He retired in 1984. He married Clara Jean Robbins on February 24, 1942 and have lived their lives in the South Haven area.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by two sisters – Maxine Wenban and Mary Tragna and one brother - George “Dick” Crow.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years – Clara Crow of South Haven, MI. Two sons – William “Mike” Crow of South Haven, MI. and Glenn D. (Brenda) Crow of Kalamazoo, MI. One daughter – Cathy (Joe) Underwood of South Haven, MI. Four granddaughters – Cathy Jo (Adam) Pyle, Kari (Chris) Woodall, Kristy (Matt) Jenks all of South Haven, MI. and Rebekka Jean Crow of Kalamazoo, MI. One grandson – Jacob William Crow also of Kalamazoo, MI. Four great granddaughters – Haley and Chloe Kinney, Macy Jenks and Karlie Woodall and four great grandsons – Tyler and Shawn Pyle, Christopher Woodall, and Rylan Jenks all of South Haven, MI. One sister-in-law – Jeanette Crow. Special cousin – Helen Sharp and several nieces and nephews also survive.
