Martha's Obituary
Martha (Haase) Schnake, 90, of South Haven, Departed life on Wednesday, August 31 at Resthaven Care Center in Holland.
She was born November 2, 1920 in South haven, Michigan to Rev. Martin and Carolyn (Pfeiffer) Haase. Martha graduated from South Haven High School. She worked for a time at the phone company. Martha married John Schnake on November 21, 1942. Martha raised a family and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – John Schnake who died August 14, 2011. Brother Erdmann “Boots” Haase also precedes her.
He is survived by her three sons – Steven (Teresa) Schnake of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Robert (Alice) Schnake of South Haven, Michigan, and John W. Schnake of Holland, Michigan. Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two sisters – Edna Schlaack of South Haven, Michigan and Lois Curley of Hacienda Hts., California.
