Martha's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Martha here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Martha was one of the nicest ladies I've had the pleasure to know. During challenging times in my life there was encouragement from her. What a wonderful legacy to leave to us all. Even though your family is fewer in numbers you are all stronger through having John and Martha as your parents. I'll never forget them. Doug

To The Shnake Fammily, I’m very sorry for the death that you’ve experienced in your family recently. I would like to share a comforting scripture with you that has encouraged me in the past when it comes to losing one of our loved ones. John 11:25 says... "He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." I also agree with the bible when it says at Acts 24:15... That “there will be a resurrection, of both the righteous and unrighteous“! Revelation 21:4 states “ Death will be no more.” What a wonderful time to live when these scriptures will be fulfilled! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.. please know that I’ am thinking of you and your family during this hardship. Thank you for your time, Sincerely, Caleb Aniol

I was sorry to hear about the passing of John and Martha Schnake. I had the honor of serving as their pastor for more than 30 years. They were very faithful and confessing Christians. They served the Lord and St. Paul Lutheran Church in several ways. John was a church officer for many years and Martha was our "runner" secretary who provided many selfless services to the congregation. They helped me by running off our church bulletin each week for about 25 years. My sympathy goes out to Edna and family as the loss of her sister and brother-in-law. We look forward to that eternal reunion in heaven on that great day of resurrection. In the name of JESUS who is the Resurrection and the Life. Pastor William Balza

I was a high school classmate and friend of John and Marths'a son Richard before his death so many years ago. Many fond memories of spirited basketball games in the barn and what nice people the Schnakes were. My condolences to the family.
