Well one of my best friends lift me yesterday. But thats O.K. We said three words. I said ( I love you] She said (I love you to.) I kissed her goodbye and that was that.

Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing Ms. Ossie until the latter part of her life, she was a person with a charismatic spirit. I especially enjoyed her sense of humor. Her smile and laugh will remain in my memory for a long time to come. May she rest peacefully knowing she impacted many in a positive way.

We praise God for our grandmother's life and the many years she lived. Our special moment was when we visited with Grandma last week and had the special privilege of talking to God and thanking Him for her long life. Then I kissed her the last time and told her we loved her. She will be missed, but not forgotten.

I sit and reflect on the good times I had at my grandmas home I have so many memories. French Toast, Bacon, coconut cakes, cookies. We were so spoiled by the love she had for my brothers and I. My Grandmother loved and took care of her family and thats how I will always remember her.

Well although I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to you Grandma Ossie Ola Burton. You will always be in my heart, mind, body and soul. You are truly missed by all. We all loved you but God loved you best. You have always been a wonderful and favorite grandmother of mine. And I will always miss and love you forever and ever. You are definitely gone but not forgotten from all who loved you. I remember staying the night at your house when I was younger. I had a very good grandmother/grandfather relationship with you and Grand dad Eddie Lee Burton. I remember how me, Pooh, Ramon, Ju-Ju and Ronnie used to always come down to your house on 76th street and eat all that ole Southern cooking you used to do. Just to name a few - (southern fried chicken, greens, cornbread. cheesy macaroni and cheese, peach pie and coconut cake) Me and all the boys could not resist your great Southern food. It was delicious with a capital D. I've had so many wonderful moments with you Grandma Ossie Ola Burton. I have a acronym that I would like to share: O is for observant S is for sweet S is for special I is for impressive E is for energetic O is for open-minded L is for lovable A is for awesome B is for beautiful U is for unique R is for righteous T is for terrific O is for opinionated N is for nice. Love Always, Joseph "Joe Jr" Singer

What a wonderful person. I've been gone from Covert for 37 years but I still remember Mrs. Burton with great love and respect. You are in Gods loving arms who has now taken you home to live in His Kingdom. May God be with your family as they send you home to be with Him.
