Rodger's Obituary
Rodger D. Pugh, 61, of South Haven died on April 2, 2011 at home. Rodger was born on
October 4, 1949 to Thomas and Mabel (Purkiss) Pugh in Leplanto, Arkansas. Rodger worked as a self-employed contractor in Portage, Michigan where he lived for 18 years prior to moving back to South Haven.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters – Bob Pugh, Dixie Tucker, Evelyn Johnson, Herman Pugh, Jerrill Pugh, Sherrill Pugh, and Richard Pugh. One brother-in-law – Paul Doffing.
Rodger is survived by his wife – Penny Doffing Pugh of South Haven, Michigan and his sons – Rodger H. Pugh, of Tempe, Arizona and Mitchell D. Pugh of Michigan. His brother and sister – Kenneth Pugh and Janie Mosely. His mother-in-law – Bonnie Doffing and sister-in-law Vikki (Mike) Hollis of South Haven, Michigan. Sister-in-law – Tina Doffing of South Haven, Michigan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 4 from 6-8 pm and Tuesday, April 5 from 10-11 am at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with funeral service beginning at 11:00 am with Rev. Jeffrey Dick officiating. Burial will take place at North Shore Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center, Kalamazoo, Michigan and South Haven Senior Services.
