LaVerne G.'s Obituary
LaVerne G. Adams, 75, of South Haven died Friday, January 14 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born June 2, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Harold and Eleanor (Kuszynski) Adams. She worked for GTE for many years retiring in 1991. LaVerne also worked as a cashier for D&W in South Haven for many years.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her brother – Donald Adams and grandson – Christopher Green.
She is survived by her children – Laurence (Dee) Pratt of Georgetown, Texas, Karen (Ronald) Drake of South Haven, Michigan, Kathleen (Steve) Green of Bangor, Michigan, Thomas Pratt of Portage, Michigan and Margaret (Kenneth) Copenhaver of Bangor, Michigan. Sisters – Elaine Kalscics of Des Plaines, Illinois, Delores Adams of Phoenix, Arizona and Marilyn Hamilton of Benton Harbor, Michigan. 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be Friday, January 21 from 1 – 2 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home.
Memorial services will begin at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Father Robert Flickinger officiating.
