Karna Jean's Obituary
Karna Jean Globensky, 69, of South Haven died Thursday, October 14 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
She was born January 17, 1941 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Stewart L. and Helen (Anderson) Johnson. Karna married Jerry Globensky October 7, 1961. She worked for the City of South Haven as Harbor Master for 16 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband – Jerry Globensky of South Haven, MI. Two sons – John M (Kate) Globensky of Rockford, MI. and Joseph W. (Jennifer) Globensky of Frisco, Texas. Five grandchildren – Andrew, Audry, Alaina, Jared and Reese. One brother – Jim (Dawn) Johnson of Grand Rapids, MI. Three sisters – Sharon Potter of Palm Harbor, Florida, Mary Kay (Fred) O’Neil of Muskego, Wisconsin and Theresa (George) Tafelski of Grand Rapids, MI also survives.
Karna’s burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. . A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled in the spring.
