Jaylin Kyree's Obituary

Jaylin “Kyree” Hatter ,16, of South Haven passed away on Friday, October 8, 2010 at South Haven Community Hospital, South Haven, Michigan.

Kyree was a junior at South Haven’s L.C. Mohr High School. He will be greatly missed by the administration, faculty and entire school body.

Kyree was known for his outgoing personality and his love for the game of basketball. One of his most memorable accomplishments is when he was moved up from the JV Basketball Team to play on the Varsity Team during the District Tournament. Kyree was a successful student athlete who loved to spend time with family, friends and younger kids who looked up to him. He will be greatly missed for his infectious sense of humor, his intense competitive drive, and his love of basketball and his family.

Kyree was preceded in death by his grandparents, Scott Hatter and Beulah Henry; great grandparents, Ida Sheggog and James O. Wilkins, Sr.; aunt, Lajuana Jones.

Kyree is survived by his paternal father, Clifton Hatter; stepfather and mother, James and Andrea Hooker; two brothers, Marquise and Clifton Hatter Jr.; two sisters, Jade and Journee’ Hooker; grandparents, Nathaniel and Merle Goodwin and Darlene Wilkins; Great-grandparents, Simon and Betty Harrington and Shirley Wilkins; uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of family and friends, namely Clareese Jheri Paul.

Kyree touched the hearts and souls of many and will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed. “Gone to Soon!”

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, October 14, at 6:00 PM at the Listiak Auditorium at the South Haven High School.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 15 from 11 – 12 at the Greater Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday at the church with Pastor Joe O.
