To the family of Marianna Titus: My husband and I were neighbors of Marianna for many years at Osterhout Lake. Her smiling face and friendly spirit greeted us every time we arrived to unpack for our weekend. What a wonderful person whom we will miss very much. We will not be able to attend the funeral because of an appt. I have to keep. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Norma & Russ Eftink

Marianna bought my moms house in South Haven. I was happy that someone with limitations like my mom would be in a home so well suited for those challanges. I was very emotional about leaving the piano and some furniture so she (and her niece)suggested I come by and visit which I did from time to time. So goodbye Marianna and thank you for your kindnesses.

I am very grateful that i had the opportunity to get to know Marianna during her stay at the nursing home. She was so knowledgeable, open minded, and always willing to help someone in need. We had many great talks. she helped me through my pregnancy and rough patches in my life in the last couple of months, she always knew what to say and had wonderful advice. I will miss her very much and I am honored to call myself one of her friends.

My sincere condolences to the family of Marianna Titus. I was the Food Service Manager at South Having Nursing and Rehab when I met this beautiful women who touched my heart, the hearts of my children and my mother. I only knew her for a short time, but she taught me a lot and I considered her a great friend. She was a giving, loving woman who everyone seemed to turn to in need and she gave with all her heart. Marianna asked me to cater a meal for all the employees who worked at the nursing home (which was quite generous) she hired my children to help her out that day. She spent a lot of time talking to each of them and getting to know them. I live in SC now and I am so deeply sad that I was unable to see her before she passed. Marianna is one of those women who I will remember for the rest of my life. One of the loveliest women I have every known. When I decided to leave the Nursing Home and purse another job, Marianna and I kept in touch and we planed on seeing each other at Christmas time. It is as if I had known her all my life. I love you Marianna and I know you are in a wonderful place where I will see you again someday.

I was a student of Miss Titus 50 yrs ago. I remember her long skirts, boxy blouses and penny loafer shoes. Most of all I remember diagraming sentences...all the time, every day!!! Sorry for you loss. Your memories will last forever.

My sincere condolences to the family, This woman was the force behind my love for reading and "proof reading". She made English lessons grueling, but exciting at the same time and I consider myself fortunate to have had her as a teacher and mentor. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

My dearest Aunt Marianna, Where do I begin? There were so many great times and I'm filled with so many wonderful memories! Special visits & gifts from your magic fairy when I was a little girl, summers at Crane Lake with you and Grandma, summers at Lake Osterhaut, the many visits to South Bend and of course our infamous trip to South Africa to visit Betsy and Piet! We had some amazing times and the stories we generated were even better! I'm so blessed to have had you in my life...if only I had shared this with you sooner. I'm grateful for the opportunity to "share" you with Kevin and my girls but I'm sad they will never know you like I did. Just know that I love you and you were such an amazing aunt! Joanie

I did not know Marianna very well but I did know her from church. She was extremely supportive of our St. Basil youth group, always willing to suggest an idea or lend a hand whenever asked (and even when she wasn't asked!). She loved the youth of our church and they will carry a little piece of her in their hearts. Thank you for sharing her with us.
