I remember when my Dad used to say "Here comes Rootin' Tootin' Tom Newton when he would go down the road. Tom always knew your name and never failed to asked about the kids. He was one of the "best" 4-H Leaders a kid could ask for. My kids still remember the leather work they did and we still have the wallets. Thank you for sharing your Dad and husband with us. Love to you all.

Roberta, Tom, Carol, and the rest of the Newton Family - Please accept my condolences on your loss. Fuzzy was an amazing man who always made me laugh - even if 'threatening' to put a tack on the end of his shoe so I’d run the bases faster. I have a lot of great memories of him through softball and life. I'll miss his fantastic bear hugs but I know he is at peace with Afton now. Love and prayers to you all Krissa Gardner Cabral Psalms 119:28 My soul weeps with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word. Dear Newton Family, I have such fun memories of Tom. From working at Bohn and all his assistance to the retirees. He would call me at home after Bohn shut down to ask me a question and 1 1/2 hours later, he would still be talking! He tried to act so gruff but one always knew there was a big caring heart in that body...And then when Kevin and I got married, we became family. God works in mysterious ways. We will miss you old friend....

My sincere condolences to your family and may you find peace in this difficult time. Please know that Fuzzy impacted many people in positive and profound ways and he was very loved and looked up to. Fuzzy was a softball coach, a mentor, a surrogate grandfather (complete with "tough love") to "his girls" on the BHS Varsity Softball Teams, and much, much more to us. I'm honored to be counted in that number and I am confident that I can speak on the behalf of all of us from the team ('94, '95, & '96)that he meant the world to us and he was very loved.

Tom Newton will always have a very special place in my heart and held in high regard with my entire family. The "Big Fig" as we referred to him (never to his face of course) was a mans man with a thundering voice and unconditional love for his family and friends. I was fortunate enough to grow up with Mr. Newton and share great times with his wife Roberta, son Scott and daughters Jill and Sally. You knew they loved you because they treated you like one of their own and I still have his hand print on my rear end to prove it! Well deserved I must say. They don't make guys like Tom anymore and he will be dearly missed.
