Tom was our oldest brother. We love him and will miss him very much. He had a very gently soul.

The oldest sibling of the clan, lead the way in many of life's journeys and ushered me along the path with love and humor. I will never forget those lessons. I take comfort in knowing that Tom has finally found peace in knowing the truth to lifes greatest mystery. I'm sure God is smiling, and his "doubting Thomas" is filled with great joy, now that he is home!

My big brother Tom. He was always an inspiration to me. SOOOOO COOOL. The inventor of snookin' The star gaurd of St. Pauls championship B-Ball team. Probably too deep for his own good. I will miss you and continue to use you as an inspiration in my life. Only the good die young. You were WAY to young. Love you Tommy

Life will never be the same without you, TCD. I recognize you as successful, fiercely independent, pensive, private and intellectual and mostly my focus in life. No accolade is enough though you would protest such flagrant admiration. You will always be a part of me. In my heart you live forever, my Belgian. Love unending, Bobbi

"Tommy" my BIG brother. Patriarch of a family of 7 children. always my rock. If I was too emotional, you were always my voice of reason. I will treasure our very, way too short of a life together. thankfully we just shared several hot, sunny summer days and nights together, sharing a cold beer and many, many stories. We talked about your retirement and a trip to the U.P. this fall to visit Sam. I thank God you have 2 sons to carry on the best parts of you. I will love you and miss you everyday of forever. I know now you are finally at peace, and I am working at being ok with that. your baby sister "red"

Tom brought my darling baby sister joy, happiness, love, self-confidence, comfort and fun. He impressed us with his intelligence, quiet thoughtfulness, composure and compassion. I cry for my sister's loss, I grieve that we will not have our promised conversations. I send sympathy to all his family and friends.

Sam and Joe I wish I could have seen you this week-end.We had a pretty nice mass in memory of your Dad. I know you are not religious but it was mostly just an honor to him ,and how much his bothers, sisters, and Mom loved him. He loved you two a thousand more times more than that.Do the best you can, your Dad would have liked that. Love you guys. Aunt Julie

Tom hired me when I was 18. That was ten years ago. He took a chance on me even though I barely graduated highschool with literally no experience in pretty much anything, and gave me a life I am proud of today. Thank you Tom. You will not be forgotten here. Shannon VanOss K.L.S.W.A

I am deeply sorry to have just learned of Tom's passing last August. He was always a good friend to me, although he had lost touch over the last two years. I echo the sentiments everyone here has expressed. He and I had a great MSU-UM rivalry, and he was very much a great source of counsel to me over the years. I will miss his gentle soul very much.
